Highly Connected Individuals Behind Attempt To Blackmail Me, Yemi Sonde, YES FM Boss Cries Out
The Chairman of Yemi Sonde Media Group and the owner of Ibadan based popular radio, YES FM, Mr. Yemi Sonde, has cried out to the public that some highly connected persons are behind the attempt by a faceless individual who has been trying to blackmail him with a nude video.
In a release issued by Yemi Sonde in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday, Mr. Sonde said the blackmailer claimed to be in possession of nude videos of him.
Sonde further said when he demanded that the blackmailer should send him a copy of the video, it turned out to be a video of him alone on his bed in his room.
According to the radio proprietor the blackmailer, who claimed to live in Ivory Coast, had repeatedly demanded several sums of money ranging from N500,000 to N1,500,000 as the only thing that could make him to keep the video off social media.
In a bid to make true his threats, the blackmailer according to Mr. Sonde had sent the video to some closed friends of the broadcaster asking them to prevail on Mr. Yemi Sonde to part with the money.
Sonde stated further that the blackmailer demanded to be paid urgently if he wants him to delete the videos and any attempt to do otherwise will force him to circulate the videos all over the social media in order to embarrass him, his family, and destroy his reputation.
Sonde said he had however told the blackmailer to go ahead with his threat and that he would not part with his hard-earned money to any blackmailer.
“I am issuing this release to let Nigerians know that some powerful individuals who are bent on destroying my reputations have orchestrated this blackmail. I don’t know what I did to warrant this but I know that they will fail,” said Sonde.
Mr. Sonde stated that he has instituted the right legal actions as regards the blackmail attempt vowed that both the blackmailer and his sponsors who are hell bent to destroy him would fail and would be exposed.
